1.  Play only in designated areas.
      a - no playing on the grass between the two schools.
      b - no playing on the hill.
      c - no playing on the dock on the south side of the lunchroom.
      d - no playing in front of either school or in parking lots.
      e - students will not play in any area marked off by cones due to mud, water, ice or other dangerous conditions.
2.  Follow all instructions of Activity Coordinators.
3.  No fighting, swearing, or foul language.
4.  Roller Blades, skates, scooters are not allowed on school property will only be allowed during lunch time on designated days.
5.  Students will leave rocks, bark, sticks, and other dangerous objects alone.
6.  Students will settle differences peacefully. Stop/Think/Plan
 

7.  The Oakwood and Pioneer have closed campus.  No student may leave without a parent.  Parents will check children out from the office before students will be allowed to leave the playground.
8.  Playground equipment will be used safely.  Students will use good judgment to prevent injury to themselves and other students.   Activity coordinators will decide if play needs to be stopped for safety reasons.
9.  There will be no touch football.  Flags are available for flag football.
10. Students will stay an appropriate distance from the Oakwood doors and windows so as not to disturb class work.
11. Students will not slide on ice or throw ice and snow.
12. Students will stay off sprinklers and fences.
13. Students will treat other students with respect.
14. No ball tag will be allowed on any equipment.
15. No dogs or other pets including insects, snakes, lizards, spiders or whatever you have will not be allowed on the playground.  If dogs are loose on the playground during school hours the animal control officer will be notified to remove the dog.
16. No weapons of any kind are allowed on the playground.  All toy weapons will be taken to the principal's office.  Parents will have to visit to get them back.  Please keep this kind of toy at home.  This includes water guns.
17. All lunch food will be eaten in the cafeteria.  This specifically means food brought from home or purchased in the cafeteria for lunch.   Children eating their lunch on the playground or while running to the playground will be sent back to the lunch room for twenty minutes.
18. Students will return to their classrooms without delay when their bell rings.
     OAKWOOD PLAYGROUND DISCIPLINE
   1st offense:  Students talked to by playground supervisors.
   2nd offense:  Students talked to by playground supervisors and teacher.
   3rd offense:  Students must take copy of rules home and parents must sign and return after review with
   student.  Student will not be allowed back on the playground until note is returned.
   Fighting:  If a fight can be resolved by playground supervisors it will end there.
   Serious fights that are not able to be resolved will be taken directly to the principal.   A student may be
   suspended for the rest of the day at that time.
   As Playground supervisors we are always trying to provide things to do to help prevent problems from
   developing out of boredom.  We have organized games and other things to occupy students during lunch
   recess.  Please dress your children for the weather that may occur at anytime during the day.
